Academy of Science - St. Louis BioBlitz

The Academy's St. Louis BioBlitz is a citizen-science flash inventory of the ecosystems of urban parks. The flagship BioBlitz is held in Forest Park and has expanded to include Creve Coeur and Tower Grove Park. This Academy initiative epitomizes the collaborative mission in pairing scientist team leaders with science advocates of all ages. BioBlitz produces a timely and relevant snapshot of comparative data. A model of citizen-science, BioBlitz is proud to have hoted advance teams from across the country, including agroup planning for National Geographic's National Parks BioBlitz.

Academy of Science - St. Louis Science Fair

For more than 60 years, the Science Fair has been an amazing science catalyst for students in kindergarten through high school. Under the leadership of the Academy, hundreds of educators, scientists and science advocates work year-round to bring science inquiry to life for more than 55,000 students in the St. Louis area participating each year in the Science Fair.

Junior Academy of Science

More than 400 middle and high school students from public, private and home schools across the region experience hands-on opportunities in science, engineering and medicine through the Junior Academy.

Outstanding St. Louis Scientist Awards

Since its inception, the Academy has promoted the recognition of the impressive scientists of St. Louis. This tradition continues with the Annual Outstanding St. Louis Scientist Awards.

Science Seminar Series

The Academy of Science of St. Louis is pleased to present the Science Seminar Series, established to help increase the awareness of science throughout the St. Louis community.

Speakers for Science

The Academy of Science of St. Louis provides scientists and professionals who speak on science related topics to area civic groups, community organizations, and schools through its Speakers For Science program.
