Distinguished Teaching Professor of Biology and Teaching & Learning, University of Missouri-St. Louis

Dr. Granger has been widely recognized for the creation and development of the Naturalistic Education Theory, which opened the way for systemic sequencing of teaching science concepts and curriculum reform. The theory is an attempt to develop a comprehensive curriculum based on mechanistic principles of human neurophysiology through instructional engineering. He is directs a number of the University's programs that involve high school students in original research.

The Seal of the Academy of Science - St. Louis The Fellows of the Academy of Science-St. Louis is a prestigious assocation of St. Louis scientists and engineers of national reputation. Many Academy Fellows are recipients of the Outstanding St. Louis Scientists Awards, including the Peter H. Raven Lifetime Achievement, Eads, Trustees', and Academy Fellows Awards.
