From the dainty bill of a wood warbler to the long neck and legs of the herons, bird adaptations enthrall and delight and leave you shaking your head in amazement. This two-session program introduces you to the reasons why birds fly, how they communicate and express themselves, and the anatomy and physiology behind their senses and lifestyles. The first evening is a classroom presentation and lab followed by a Saturday morning Zoo bird walking tour (one mile over rolling paved paths).
