Future Trek STEM Career Explorations: Greening Your Future for 6th – 8th Grade Students

Can accommodate four groups of 20-25, or up to 100 students total. Individual and home school students/groups may also register to attend.

Explore careers in science through interactive and hands-on demonstrations in four fun, informative and fast-paced, 25-minute classroom sessions with working scientists, engineers and STEM professionals. Career explorations include sessions on Green Careers in STEM. Students participate in an afternoon Garden Trek Quest scavenger hunt featuring the Botanical Garden’s Climatron (world’s first geodesic dome greenhouse), Linnean House (oldest continuously operating greenhouse west of the Mississippi), William T. Kemper Center for Home Gardening, and English Woodland Garden.
Bring: Sack lunches and drinks for students, teachers, and chaperones. Sharpened pencils.
