What scientists have learned about the land, seas, and skies of Earth can help us to understand the geology and weather of other planets and their moons. We’ll peek at giant volcanoes and canyons on Mars, planet-sized storms on Jupiter and Neptune, and seas on satellite moons. What do Earth’s features tell us about these other worlds? And what do planets and moons tell us about our home planet, Earth?
Presented in conjunction with the exhibit, Here. There. Everywhere., on display at the library throughout April. Here. There. Everywhere. is supported by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration under grant NNX11AH28G issued through the Science Mission Directorate and developed by the Chandra X-ray Center, at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, in Cambridge, MA – See more at: http://hte.si.edu/index.html#
