Patty Heyda, assistant professor of urban design at Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University, explores the politics and spaces of urban redevelopment in St. Louis and other areas, looking especially at the particularities of American downtown redevelopment in the first decades of the new millennium.
