Talking to the Animals: Enhancing Our Relationships with Our Canine and Feline Companions

Tuesday, August 18, 2009 @ 7:00 PM-8:00 PM

Featured Speaker: Debra F. Horwitz, DVM, Veterinary Behavior Consultations, and Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists

Pets have been a part of human families for centuries, enriching our lives and bringing us joy. With these special relationships come special challenges, however, including how we communicate across species to create a harmonious life together. Whether your pet just has some quirky behavior or a more complex psychological issue, animal behavior specialist Dr. Debra Horwitz will address how we can better understand our pets and their needs, keeping more animals out of shelters and in happy homes. In addition to running her private behavioral practice, Dr. Horwitz is a frequent lecturer and author of several books and articles. She has taught veterinary medicine and is the veterinary resource for Nestle Purina PetCare Purina ONE Ask the Vet and the Kitten Chow Mentor program. She is also featured as a mentor on Animal Planet’s Housecat Housecall. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to forge a deeper relationship with the four-legged members of your family!

Support for Talking to the Animals is provided by Nestlé Purina PetCare.
