Why are vampires, zombies, and other monsters widespread in popular culture and what are their origins? What does anthropology reveal about the relationship between these creatures and humanity? Join us as we delve into an anthropological analysis of supernatural themes in film and written works, along with a discussion on the cultural evolution of Halloween.

The Supernatural in Popular Culture is a Science in St. Louis Series partnership of the The Academy of Science – St. Louis and St. Louis County Libraries.
