Interest in Science Statement

Applicants for the 2026-27 Junior Academy cohort will be chosen based on the information in this section. We seek to build a well-rounded cohort of students who have different strengths, skills, and interests.

What interests you about science and scientific research?*

Math Score Category on latest DESE Assessment

This program includes a math remediation session at every Saturday program to improve students’ computational thinking skills. Students of all Math abilities are welcome in Junior Academy.

Current Lexile Reading Level

This program includes sessions on how to write and read scientific papers to improve students’ data analysis and argumentative writing skills. Students of all Lexile levels are welcome in Junior Academy.
