Science Fair

STL Science Fair, a program of the Academy of Science of St. Louis
Supporting the Advancement of Youth Scientists

March 8-13, 2027

The STL Science Fair is one of the largest and oldest regional Science Fairs in the US. Serving over 20,000 students in the last 10 years. The STL Science Fair is open to students in STL City, STL County, and the surrounding metro and metro-East areas.

The goal of the STL Science Fair is for students to engage in projects that ask questions about the world and attempt to answer them by designing experiments and collecting data.

Through partnerships with local, regional, and national organizations, the STL Science Fair provides a platform for young scientists to design experiments, collect data, and showcase their discoveries to professionals in the field.

Participate

To serve students at every stage of their scientific journey, the fair is organized into two distinct divisions. Find the one that’s right for you or your student.

Regional Division

Open to all students in grades K-12, the Regional Division encourages scientific thinking and discovery. This is a great place for students to get started with their first science fair project.

Honors Division

For students in grades 6-12 who are ready for a more advanced challenge, the Honors Division offers a more rigorous competition. Participants in this division are eligible to compete for a spot at the international level.

The Honors Division is affiliated with the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

Support the Fair

It takes a community to foster scientific talent. Your support makes the St. Louis Regional Science Fair possible for thousands of students each year.
